Our story
Why this is close to our hearts.
When our son was still a baby, he fell ill with cancer. It was a hard time for our family. Thanks to the wonderful support of our family, friends and above all the doctors, our son came through the treatment well and is healthy today. Even so, the illness has left its mark.
During that time we experienced so much help and compassion that we felt the wish to pass some of it on.
That is why we would like to regularly offer our holiday apartments 1-3 & Backhaus free of charge for a week to a family with a sick child.
Our own story has been shaped by cancer, which is why this subject is especially close to our hearts. But there are many other serious illnesses in children too. That is why our offer is expressly for all affected families going through a hard time, regardless of the kind of illness.

Whether cancer or another illness: when hospital, therapies and worries shape everyday life, there is hardly any room to recover. A week of wind, mudflats and open space can do the whole family good.

What do you offer?
A week in one of our holiday apartments 1 to 3 or in the Backhaus at the Gulfhof - free of charge for the whole family. We agree the exact dates together with the family.
Who can apply?
Families with a sick child - whether cancer or another serious illness. We do not ask for proof - we trust you.
Can I nominate another family?
Yes, gladly. Friends, neighbours, relatives or acquaintances can nominate a family. Please talk to the family first - they should know that you are nominating them and agree to it.
What happens after I apply?
We read every application and will get back to you in any case. If it works out, we agree the dates together. Please understand that we cannot give every family a week. Your application stays with us for up to a year and is then deleted.
Does it cost anything to take part?
No. Taking part is free and without obligation.
What happens to our information?
Only we see your information; it is not passed on and is deleted after twelve months at the latest. We do not need medical details - write only as much as you want.
