The Wadden Sea World Heritage Site right on your doorstep
Our listed, fully restored Gulf farmhouse from 1806 stands in a secluded location, right on the North Sea dyke and close to the small coastal village of Bensersiel.
The Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, home to around 10,000 animal species, lies right on your doorstep. From the front row you can watch the play of the tides that shapes and constantly transforms the landscape.
Bird sanctuaries and nature reserves surround our POLDER72. A very special natural spectacle unfolds in spring and autumn, when up to 12 million migratory birds rest in the Wadden Sea and on the fields around the farmhouse to gather strength for their onward journey.
Bensersiel – the North Sea resort for young families
Especially if you are travelling with children, Bensersiel – reachable on foot across the dyke – is the first choice.
Right by the beach you will find large adventure playgrounds, huge climbing towers and, of course, plenty to eat and drink. The open-air seawater pool with its big slide, also right on the beach, can be seen from POLDER72.
In bad weather, the covered indoor sand-play world “Bennis Abenteuerland” or “Haus Kunterbunt”, with many smaller play areas, is an equally good alternative to the outdoor attractions.
The Nordseetherme spa in the village offers everything you would expect from a modern swimming pool: fun and games for the children and a large sauna area for the grown-ups.
